Story Book Theme Party Ideas
The story of Hansel and Gretel is a bit different from other children’s stories where the princess meets a prince and they lived happily ever after. This is a story of two little children who found a house made of candies in the middle of the forest owned by a wicked witch. Not your cliché story but a fun and exciting one, indeed!
Speaking of fun, let me tell you our version of the story. Once upon a time, we saw a candy house similar to what Hansel and Gretel found in the woods. We followed the sweet smell of candies and chocolates and the next thing we knew, we’re celebrating a party with little Ethan and Elyzza. Thanks to Dianne Khu Designs and Celebrations by Che for teaming up and giving us the complete Hansel and Gretel experience.
Ready for the next page of our story? Because Everyday Sunday Studios captured every bit of sweetness on this party to show us.
You’re in for a treat! These adorable standees were waiting on the entrance to welcome guests, with giant donuts and goodies – a sweet way to say “Hello”.
Ethan and Elyzza’s version of “A house made of candies” was way better than what I have imagined the candy house would look like! The ceiling was full of assorted candies, lollipops, pretzels and ice cream.
The stage setup was done to a tee! A mini candyland indeed. Like Hansel and Gretel, who wouldn’t want a taste of this? And the best thing? There was no wicked witch to trick us!
A touch of greenery is always a good idea especially when used as centerpieces. The table was a representation of the theme – each table was set with forest trees, tiny houses and the cute characters of the story.
This cake was the sweetest thing in the party. Sweet Creations by Mums left everyone in awe with this carefully crafted 3-tiered cake topped with a candy house. The little deets made the cake perfect. I got a sugar rush just by looking at it.
Sweetness overload! Another highlight of the party was this dessert spread. The goodies were not just yummy, but were extra cute too! These delightful sweets did not fail to amaze us with its well-thought-out details. From the cupcakes, cake pops to cookies, everything was perfect and delish.
One can never have enough treats. Potato Corner, Mang Alex’s fishballs, Taho, Ice Pops Mnl, Lollipuffs and Hello Munchkins Play Café also joined the party.
Because at the end of the story, Hansel and Gretel got to take home some pearls and precious stones to their Father, it was just right for Ethan and Elyzza’s guests to have their own version of treasure on this story. Each guest was given a bag and a cup of goodies as party favors.
Some snapshots of our main characters, Ethan and Elyzza with their lovely parents. We wish them a life full of joy, sweetness and love for one another.
