Heads up, boho-loving souls! It’s all about whimsy and chic at Pippa’s Coachella-inspired birthday shindig! Festival staples such as dream-catchers, flower crowns, teepees and feathers were at the crux of the design, bringing out the hipster vibe. Design Avenue was at the helm of the styling, and they sure kicked it up a notch for that perfect bohemian and kid-centric balance. Different pastels colored the event, with coral as the main accent, and wood elements were also used to bring in some rustic feels. From the main area, to the guests’ ootd, to the smallest detail of the tiniest dessert — everything was just Coachella-certified.
It’s a pretty good thing that Team Little J was able to jive at the party and capture some precious moments for us!
Guests were welcomed with an eye-catching standee of the birthday girl’s name. However, while the name may have caught the eyes, it was Pippa’s photo gallery that captured attention. Pippa’s birthday shoot stills were showcased at the entrance, promising a chockful of cuteness ahead. I love baby info boards. It’s so versatile because it can be designed as whatever the theme is, it gives guests interesting tidbits about the celebrant, plus it’s a good conversation starter too.
The overhead decorations were a swirl of different colors and textures. It’s not a Coachella party without tassels and dream-catchers! Japanese lanterns in vibrant colors were also hanged up for added visual oomph.
The main area boasts of cute little teepees and loads of dream-catchers. Pippa’s name was set against a wooden plank with hippie arrows. Fairy lights were also added for that whimsy atmosphere. In a nutshell, this stage is just what boho dreams are made of!
The tables were clean, crisp and adorably sweet. Rustic jute runners were in perfect contrast to the solid white linens. Tabletops were spruced up with a wonderful array of wildflowers– in different colors, of course. To set off the bohemian theme, cute little quotes were used and miniature teepees stood as the focal point.
Kids lounged in style, thanks to the low tables and cream-colored ottomans.
Sugarplum Pastries whipped up this sinfully delish art piece. The cake came in a rare shade of champagne, topped with a calligraphy-ed name of Pippa. Adorned with arrows, sugar flowers and a dream-catcher, this watercolor-inspired confection is definitely Instagram-ready!
What a boho-heaven! Pippa’s desserts station was anything but blah. Bohemian-inspired cupcake toppers ranged from feathers, teepees, dream-catchers and arrow tails, while cake pops and sugar cookies delighted the wildflower in every one. Not enough flower power? Just check out the backdrop and Pippa’s monogram. Definitely chic!
My perennial favorite in any kid’s party would definitely be the child’s personal gallery. This is where the parents get to showcase the birthday celebrant’s personal effects: first shirt, first pair of shoes, favorite toy, favorite pillow — the works. It’s such a great way to walk down memory lane of the child’s first year, and to allow the guests to have a glimpse of these small milestones. I love how Pippa’s family shared some of Pippa’s precious moments, like the first family photo and Pippa’s ultrasound photo.
Guests got to channel their artistic flair through hipster activities such as face painting, dream-catcher decorating and teepee decorating!
Guests went home with happy hearts, huge thanks to these awesome loot bags!
Pippa’s lovely parents and the birthday girl herself, here to send out positive vibes!
