Marcus’ Harry Potter Themed Party – 7Th Birthday

Can you tell me how to get to Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry because Marcus’ mind-blowing Harry Potter themed party is too impressive for me to miss. One of the coolest books ever written, you can go with many ways with this theme. Err… there are seven Harry Potter books after all, so I don’t think there will be any inspiration shortage, right? Let’s head over to Platform 9 ¾ and hop on to Hogwarts Express for a magical journey to Marcus’ birthday celebration.

Marcus’ transfiguration booth (aka photo booth area) is a replica of Platform ¾. With brick wall and various Harry Potter inspired props, guests were encouraged to have their snaps taken to get their ticket stubs; which were also used for claiming.

Let’s take a stroll down Diagon Alley. Upon registration, guests were given an envelope filled with gold coins. They used these coins to buy food from the different shops (Read: foodcarts) and pick up their wands at Ollivander’s Wand Shop. I love how they cleverly and impeccably gave their guests the whole Harry Potter experience. Take that, muggle! (or are you? O.o)

Event Stylist, Themes InStyles, wonderfully transformed the whole venue to something bloody awesome! I can see several eerie looking gargoyles which comes complete with hanging flame lights, different house banners and of course, THE sorting hat. Amazeballs.

For the centerpieces (styled by Marcus’ dad), aside from the owls, books and some greens, they divided the tables according to the four “houses” called Gryffindor, Hufflepuff, Ravenclaw, and Slytherin.

Here is Marcus’ wizard-worthy cake by the detailed savvy bakers of Paper & Flour. Complete with Harry Potter’s signature red and yellow scarf, trunk, books (including the scary Monster Book of Monsters), quidditch, Daily Prophets Papers and of course, Harry’s magical creature, Hedwig.

And what do we have here? Why it’s the Honeydukes Sweet Shop! Tons of desserts were made available for their guests to devour.

  1. I know of a friend who would want to have this kind of party for her son. She’s so much into the Harry Potter series that she is currently in Europe on a “Harry Potter” vacation tour. Thanks for sharing. I will definitely let her know about this when she comes back.

  2. Another amazing birthday party! Each party detail meticulously planned and recreated to almost the exact same replica. Love everything about this party. I’m sure young boys and girls would want the same for their birthdays once they see this.

  3. It may seem difficult to find a cake that your child and all of their party guests will enjoy.
But this is by far one of the BEST themed children’s birthday party I’ve ever seen and the cake, just W-O-W!

While there are plenty of Hogwarts cakes out there, this one went above and beyond!

The layer of details will bring out the wizard hidden inside you and will take you to the world of magic, dragons and spells a journey which is truly special. Specially crafted at Hogwarts (a.k.a Paper & Flour kitchen) and laden with charm and sweetness to make the party really magical.

The snitch, scarf, so many different icons, plus Hedwig and her cage certainly do add a lot to the design, too.

And while the cake is massive, it has all kinds of tiny details that make it truly incredible.

Paper & Flour never fails to impress and I can’t wait to get my box of goodies soon 🙂

  4. The props are so well made. Those are what stood out to me! Quality “statues” like those are difficult to make and maintain!

  5. I like the whole idea. Don’t think I could afford this one. I know some kid or adult that gets into Harry Potter would love this. Cool idea.

  6. Lovely party! Its so… magical! Any kid would definitely love a Harry Potter Themed party. I wonder if it would still hold that magic if the celebrant would be turning 50? I am sure it would.

  7. I love that creature holding the lights…
…if i am there, would stay in dessert table :p
i so love everything that was set up..
the cakes, dessert table…. hays, everything is just amazing and fab!!!!!
