Mermaid Theme Party Ideas
Mermaids are mythical sea beings with a head and body of a beautiful woman and a tail of a fish. They are believed to possess magical powers and a spellbinding voice that lures human to bewitchment. Mermaids also symbolizes beauty, love, passion and femininity – which made it a perfect theme for Elie’s first birthday celebration. What a lovely entrance set up by One Sweet Day Events! A wavelike band of pastel-toned pink, blue and lavender balloons engulf the door. Cute cutouts of water animals like seahorses, starfishes and fishes can also be seen floating around the design.
The same color palette was applied to the ceiling of the venue. We can see a part of the soft-hued drapes, paper globes and balloons hanging from above.
Balloon garlands with matching twinkling fairy lights made the stage setup look whimsical while a pretty representation of a baby mermaid Elie will surely catch everyone’s attention.
A treasure chest, seaweeds and a pink starfish graced the tables while guests enjoyed their food.
Maure Confections did a wonderful job making Elie’s two-tier birthday cake a masterpiece. Fondants were used to adorn the cake with sea elements like jellyfish, pearls, and the very adorable octopus. A princess mermaid sits on top as the main topper looking all dainty and oh-so-charming.
Sweet treats, anyone? Blue mermaid tails and lightly colored seashells and starfish cookies made their dessertscape more inviting. These yummyness were done to the T, one might think they are the real thing!
From different games to entertaining shows, I’m sure guests – big and small – had a grand time at the party. Who wouldn’t when you’re partying with the cast of The Little Mermaid and Tectonix!
