Who wouldn’t want to experience the perfect getaway surrounded by the most vibrant colors and sounds of wildlife? Just imagine the soothing sound of a swiftly flowing stream along groves of palm trees, the welcome warmth of the sun and the sight of beautiful, brightly colored hibiscus, birds of paradise and verdant plant life in a desert oasis. The “imagineers” from event stylist, Party Dish must have painted those pictures in their minds in order to create a tropical paradise for birthday girl, Niana, her family and friends. The shutterbugs from Everyday Sunday Studios captured every happy moment in this awesome birthday, so let’s join Niana and enjoy this sumptuous party!

Guests immediately go on “vacay-mode” when Palm Springs resort icons like a pink flamingo, a poolside chair and palm tree greets them at the entrance. A sign gives them a glimpse of the amazing time they’re sure to have at this party… fun and games, food and drinks, mojitos and cocktails are certainly something to look forward to!

The main stage features two cute flamingo stand-ins and a couple of cactus set against a backdrop of the Saguaro Palm Springs building facade and a pair of palm trees on either side. Niana’s pink high chair and large, yellow marquee letters that spell out her name are set at the center of the stage – she is, after all, the star of the day.

Pink, white and yellow paper ball lanterns lends a fun, “summer-in-the-beach” atmosphere.

The party venue itself is like a tropical haven in the middle of an urban jungle with lush, green vines and trees, and comfortable lounging chairs alongside a very inviting pool.

Niana blew out the candle in this pretty three-layer cake covered in white fondant and adorned with an elegant pink flamingo. Pink and white hibiscus flowers, a pineapple and cactus toppers made this cake even more eye-catching.

The dessert spread always draw people in just like what honey does to a bear. Along with Niana’s lovely birthday cake, there were charming chocolate cupcakes garnished with fondant flamingos, pineapples, watermelons and cactus. Jars of jelly beans and all sorts of gummy candies, as well as dainty little sugar cookies were bliss to every wide-eyed little boy and girl at the party. It was even a greater treat to get creative (not to mention delightfully messy) and put together your own dessert – at Niana’s party, the children made s’mores and decorated their own cupcakes. Now that’s what I call a sweet treat!

A table was laden with a charcuterie spread. With an assortment of cured meats and cheeses, nuts and crackers, plus the gorgeous pop of color provided by the variety of fresh fruits and vegetables, it was indeed a feast for the eyes as well as the tummy. What a perfect match to the cocktails served at the party, yes?!

At the kids’ corner, the children channeled their inner artist and turned pairs of ordinary, white flip-flops into their personal works of art – from plain white to exciting and colorful, embellished with ribbons, butterflies, flowers and stickers of different shapes and sizes.

Look at that big smile on the face of this pretty young lady – this balloon relay must have been hilarious and thrilling at the same time! Well, it did say “fun and games” at the entrance, so everyone definitely got what they expected: one exceedingly good time!
