Hermès Theme Party Ideas
A walk along Rue du Faubourg Saint-Honoré in the fashion capital of the world will take you to the Hermès flagship boutique, home of the famous Birkin bag and every high-end luxury item that only the uber-chic would appreciate. And when someone wants a posh birthday, why not make it an Hermès-inspired celebration? So when Ellis Mari, the youngest member of a fashion-savvy family turned one, event stylist, Party Station, had to channel their inner Gaultier to create a plush Hermès-inspired birthday bash just for him. Let’s experience Ellis Mari’s special day with these great shots from NicePrint Photography.
An arch of balloons in the happy hues of Hermès signature orange and blue beckons Ellis’ guests to the sumptuous party that awaits them.
The stage features the warm citrus color that has become synonymous with the Hermès’ brand and luxurious silk scarves for which Hermès is known. At the center of a huge backdrop is Ellis’s monogram and the Duc horse that has graced the designs of many Hermès scarves and twilly.
The tables are dressed in crisp white cloth and a striped gold runner. Each table has its own unique arrangement of flowers – a bamboo ikebana cube vase with a beautiful combination of cymbidium, purple hydrangeas, pink snapdragons and bamboo leaves; a ceramic vase with a combination of green, yellow, pink and peach roses; pink Gerber daises, purple statice, cymbidium and ornamental flowering cabbage arranged in a brown pot are just some examples. Since Hermès is known for its particular affection for the equestrian universe, a horse joins the lovely flower arrangements.
Hermès’ “resourceful orange box” is the inspiration behind Ellis’ birthday cake – two layers of the iconic Hermès box with dark brown band stacked one on top of the other! Baby shoes and a saddled horse completed the décor on this yummy sweet treat.
Along with the ritzy cake are other sweet offerings like cupcakes smothered in butter frosting and adorned with a fondant version of the Hermès logo, a horse-drawn carriage and Ellis’s monogram in the signature orange and blue colors.
A feast for any gastronome, an impressive array of cheese platters and charcuterie, fruits, bread, biscuits and spreads are enjoyed by the guests. Young and old make a beeline for Bono Gelato for a double scoop of their original, freshly-made ice cream. Buon appetito!
The wonderful members of Clowning Around Manila put on a spectacular performance for Ellis and his guests. Now, that’s entertainment!
The children had a blast with sand jars and plaster-craft – cupcakes, dinosaurs and birds which they brightened up with watercolor paints.
These scarves will look great tied around the neck, used as a belt or neatly looped around the handles of a nice bag. What fashionably awesome giveaways!
A gleaming smile and bright, happy eyes… a song in the heart and a home brimming with love. These are just some of the magical things a child can bring. With Ellis Mari completing his family, their fairytale goes on.
