Audrey’s Pink Vintage Carnival Themed Party – 2nd Birthday

We all know that the “vintage theme” trend has taken the party circuit by storm and I think it’ll still be a big hit for years to come. I just love how they reinvent these themes again and again by adding a modern twist to it. As subtle as it may seem, these itsy bitsy tweaker-oo can give us a fresher and more fun look. If you’re wondering what’s so great about them then you really ought to see Audrey’s pink vintage carnival themed party. The perfect balance of vintage and modern elements doubled the chicness of Audrey’s party. Oozing with pink details at every corner, this is something my daughter would definitely love.

Without further ado, here’s how Pauline of Whimsy + Chic Invites created magic for her daughter’s oh-so-dreamy celebration:

“During the brainstorming & conceptualizing phase for my Audrey’s 2nd birthday, I was always drawn to vintage carnival or circus parties. It’s the burlap, chalkboard signs, and cute vintage whimsical decors plus the fun elements like the Ferris wheel, cotton candy, ice cream and of course, pretty carousel horses gave me the perfect inspiration I needed. With this in mind, I knew that I just have to make mini carnival table centerpieces – a Ferris wheel & hot air balloon. I wanted it vintage but girly with gold & pastel hues mixed with burlap & wood elements.

What made this party even more special, aside from the fact that it’s going to be my little one’s birthday, is the collaboration of dear family & friends who contributed their time, talent & effort to make Audrey’s party successful. Lolo Pete (Audrey’s granddad) provided the finishing touches at the stage & sweets buffet — Twinkling Series Lights; he even spray-painted the black sockets pink to match everything! My Brother Patrick handmade the top hats & carnival treats chalkboard sign. While Audrey’s cousin Marielle baked the pretty pastel cuppies. Our family friend Ken created Audrey’s birthday outfit while Iyan, Audrey’s godmother & my partner in Pompoms + Buntings created the fresh flower arrangements & sweets buffet set up. We are so blessed & grateful for their love, God given talents, and generosity. Audrey’s party will not be the same without them.

But the most rewarding part is seeing my little one’s excitement. “Wooow” was how she simply described her party. Music to mama’s ears! She was giggling, screaming in excitement & having so much fun and she knew that this was all for her – her very own party.”

Come one, come all! Step right up to the grandest celebration of all. Audrey is two!

Their stage backdrop was made to look like a part of a grand carousel ride giving us a shabby yet amazingly chic feel!

Remember the Kokeshi Doll paper craft centerpieces from Soliesse’s party? Well, Pauline made those lovely and super intricate paper crafts so I’m not at all surprised to see these gorgeous 3D ferris wheel and hot air balloon centerpieces. She sure didn’t hold back in making Audrey’s party beyond gorgeous.
