Sakura Inspired Party Ideas
Earth breathes with new life
The sublime cherry blossoms
Blush in the warm sun
A symbol of renewal and good fortune among the Japanese, the Sakura has inspired songs of love, poems of life and beauty, and celebrations in hope of bountiful harvests. The tree with flowers in full bloom is so magnificent that it has been called a “living poem”. Mother Nature is the poet and her creations are her poems; she is the artist, and our world is her canvass. Because it represents the spring of life, the cherry blossom is the perfect theme for a christening. And what a party it was for a perfectly beautiful little girl named Aria! Thanks to Bespoke Manila whose attention to details and impeccable taste produced a Sakura fête that was as pretty as the inspiration itself.
Aria’s invites call to mind the tree-lined moats of the Edo Castle around Kitanomaru Park in the springtime when multitudinous pink blossoms of Sakura dominate the landscape.
With her doting parents, godparents, family and friends sharing this moment with her, Aria receives the precious gift of faith through baptism. Dressed in her flowing, lacy baptismal gown, Aria looks as fabulous as her mom and dad.
Under a canopy of white fabric, dainty golden bird cages and cherry blossoms adorn the ceiling. The sight must have inspired a feeling of enchantment, perhaps in the same way that the Sakura in full bloom would with its admirers.
A wall of pink flowers make a stunning backdrop on Aria’s sweet event. Gorgeous white florals were arranged on tall mirrored pedestals along with vintage decorative lanterns.
Guests dined on tables cloaked in pristine white cloth and elegantly decorated with such lovely blooms – white begonias, moth orchids, camellias, snapdragons surrounding a vase of twigs of faux cherry blossom.
Aria’s three-tier cake is simple but tastefully embellished with marbled pink fondant and a sweet bouquet of edible peonies and cherry blossoms for its impressive cake topper.
Desserts anyone? Take your pick from these dainty looking sweet treats all adorned with pretty cherry blossoms – sugar cookies with the monogram A, cupcakes with pink buttercream frosting and cake pops.
With an elegant party such as this, one can expect the giveaways to be quite marvelous, too. And indeed, they were!
