Parisian Theme Party Ideas
“La vie est belle!” – Life is beautiful for adorable Amelia, who turned one year old. And since this darling little girl deserves only the best, her doting parents threw her a Parisian-inspired party that’s just très magnifique!
Working with the design genius Amante Fleurs and the kiddie party planner extraordinaire Party Doll Manila Events, Lia’s first birthday became one for the books. With the brilliant photos captured by JC Tee Photography and videos by Ducks and Drakes Films, Lia and her family can look back on this milestone birthday in the years ahead.
As Lia’s guests arrive, a pair of gorgeous arrangements of large pink and white roses and cascading English ivy on white pedestal vases come into sight. These, along with a small passageway complete with a canopy of roses overhead, give the guests a feel of the quaint flower market that runs almost the entire length of Avenue du Président Wilson in Paris.
In the same fashion, Lia’s photo wall is adorned with lovely roses and ivy arranged in white pedestal vases. With gilded mirrors and a bed of cushy pillows, all the guests had to do was find a comfortable position and strike a pose for that ideal Instagram-worthy selfie. Ah, très bon!
All eyes were drawn to an amazingly stunning arrangement at the center of the party venue – a water fountain adorned from top to bottom with roses, purple asters, white statice, peach-colored Canna lilies, and the silver, velvety leaves of Dusty Miller. It was simply divine!
With every detail woven together, the stage was curated to channel the very Parisian concept of vibrant open markets and café-lined streets. The stage backdrop was a patisserie with a patio table and umbrella for al fresco dining. A pink vintage bike was parked in front, and a flower vendor’s little stall had vases of pink and white roses, white tulips, and purple allium surrounding Lia’s birthday cake.
The tables were cloaked with flowing cream-colored cloth. The whole length of the rectangular tables bloomed with roses, tulips, allium, and Baby’s Breath. Little white bird cages added a touch of shabby chic to the design.
Lia’s wonderful 3-tier cake is covered in white fondant. The bottom layer resembles the bell-shaped, ruffled skirts of the affluent 1900s Paris fashion. Gum paste peonies adorn the middle layer of the cake. On top of the cake, there is a fondant Lia wearing a pink dress and beret, along with a beribboned Eiffel Tower.
Their dessert spread brought a sparkle to the eyes of every sweet tooth among the guests. There were sugar cookies decked with the monogram “A” and pretty pink birthday cakes. Cupcakes with fondant flowers, éclairs, and cake pops were also served. Every mouthful of every sweet treat was “Ooh la la”!
In addition to the sumptuous catered food and delicious desserts, the guests also enjoyed Tiger Sugar drinks, Potato Corner fries, Sorbelato ice cream, cotton candy, corn dogs, and mixed balls from Party Carts Manila.
With the fantastic party host Madz, there was never a dull moment during Lia’s party. Master illusionist Magnifico captivated the audience with his superb magic tricks, while the team from Clowning Around happily entertained Lia and her friends.
Lia’s little friends had fun playing pastry chef as they decorated cupcakes with frosting and sprinkles in an activity corner set up like a patisserie.
The children took home loads of fun stuff, but the best take-home was this leather lunch bag by Cheerful Creatives PH that screamed, ‘Paris, je t’aime!’
A picture of family love, it brings joy to see Lia and her family celebrating the first of many happy birthdays. Today, we spent the day in Paris… Where will we be off to next year when Lia turns two? That’s certainly something to look forward to.
