There’s no such thing as big dreams when you’re a kid. That’s why if your son is obsessed with cars and anything on wheels, then this adorable Construction Theme Party is the perfect way to celebrate his big day. Thank goodness we have our friends from the LIPS Events Services team to help out and make sure that Carlos Miguel’s first birthday party was everything a little boy would want to have. Get ready and dig in to this crazy party experience – all captured by the awesome Badjet Officer.
The guests were greeted with a construction work sign at the entrance – enough to make the kids excited on what awaits them inside. They were also given personalized party hats that look like a hard hat, and yellow kiddie vest to complete the construction work site vibe. So awesome!
The ceiling was quite simple (yet funky!) with black, white, and yellow balloons. They also used yellow draping to add a dose of color without overwhelming the decoration.
We’re used to seeing colorful or pastel colored parties which makes this party a breath of fresh air. Sticking close to the heart of the theme, this black and yellow set up was definitely spot on. The venue was made to look like a construction site, perfect for kids to let out their inner contractor alter egos.
And since attending parties is a way to make new friends, all kids were seated together in long tables with a road path-like design; while the adults huddled together in a round table with a yellow lifting crane as its centrepiece.
Carlos’ two-layered cake looks so cute with its dump truck topper and warning road signs. Simple, but definitely enough to catch everyone’s eyes.
The party’s dessert table was pure heaven for anyone who has sweet tooth (like me!). There were cupcakes, biscuits, lollipops, jellos, and rice pops topped and designed with construction sites must-have. And to make it more fun for the kids, they used plastic dump trucks as bowls to hold pretzels, nips, Oreo cookies, and gummy bears. I also saw some crushed cookies made to look like dirt! Such a cool idea, noh?
Of course, it’s not a kiddie party without magic, dancing, games and prizes! Thanks to kuya Macoymagic and ate Pearl for bringing the fun and excitement for the kids.
What a great way to say goodbye and thank you to Carlos’ friends! Check out these cool kiddie tool boxes that served as goodie bags, filled with sweets and plastic carpentry tools. So sweet!
Here’s the handsome birthday boy, Carlos Miguel, with his beautiful family.
