Here’s one theme that we rarely see on a children’s party setting which easily makes Elli’s party a breath of fresh air from our usual line-up. Complete with candles, light bulbs and lots of worn out wood, every single detail of this charming fête is simply stunning! The thing about rustic-themed celebration is that the cozy and intimate vibe it exude spells elegance through and through thus making it look a bit more formal for a children’s event. But when you have a knack for all things shabby/rustic/vintage like Jed Uy then clearly you can make it work. One of the most talented and creative people I know, Jed Uy can now add “Event Styling” from his wide array of expertise alongside photography and painting. An avid antique collector himself, it’s no wonder he’s really “in the zone” with this theme. Sprinkled with enough drama to make us swoon with delight, Jed carefully infused the right amount of boyish charisma to make it perfect for this little boy’s special day.
The entrance arch to Elli’s Thrift Shop party featured one of his darling newborn photos and a cool chalkboard signage. Giving their guests a hint of what to expect inside, this truly gave them a wonderful first impression.
I love how these strings of light bulbs instantly produce the right mood for Elli’s party. Whether you want to highlight your ceiling details, to lighten up the venue or simply prefer a laid back/backyard-ish mood at your party, these little lights can give you that and more.
Their main stage area features some of Jed’s vintage knickknacks. From luggage to old school hanging lamps and lighting fixtures, they even got some cola wooden crates to complete the look.
When it comes to throwing a party, atmosphere plays a major role in the success of the event. Making sure that every single detail complements each other is necessary to bring the theme to life. A good example is their table setup. From the candles that emanate warmth to the different vintage pieces, the whole setup shares the same story with the overall look of the party.
This pretty setup showcases Elli’s huge cake, his keepsakes for his godparents (framed caricatures) and favors for his guests. I like that even this area matches the theme fabulously. In fact, every installation around the party looks great together.
Check-out Elli’s sweet shoppe by Jaz of Sweet Nest Candy Buffet. With hanging mismatched tassels and laces, even the color of these sweet treats look perfect for the party! Filled with meringue, cakepops and various candies, everything looks yum-o!
