Ever wondered what it’s like to get lost in the magical world of fairly tales? From lovely princesses and prince charmings to enchantress and sorcerers, page by page a thrilling new adventure is slowly coming to life with each story we read. Together with the characters we have grown to love, we even laugh, cry and fought with them throughout their journeys. A timeless theme filled with fantasies and adventures, I love how Aria’s “Once Upon a Time”-themed party will bring out the child in all of us. Sharing another top-notch party from Khim of Party Deco, she never fails to make me fall in love over and over with each party she creates. With some of my favorite bedtime stories unfolding beautifully in Aria’s party, her exquisite interpretation makes these ordinary details look more charming than usual. Inviting us to step right into the different fairy tales we know by heart, get ready for Once Upon a Time and Happily Ever After…
Here’s a short write-up from Mommy Jennifer:
“When Aria was still in my tummy, I was bed bound due to a difficult pregnancy after miscarriage. The Once Upon a Time (TV series) marathon kept me entertained through the tough and dull moments. Then when Aria was born, we got her different story books. As soon as she can see the beautiful visuals, it’s such a delight to see her enjoy looking through the different pictures and eventually, even turn the pages herself.
Being a working mom, some of the best moments I’ve had with my daughter is during bedtime. May it be in the middle of the day or at night, I love the moments where we can cuddle together while I read her the stories and she impatiently turns the pages. The wonderful adventure every story has taken us far beyond our beds and that warm feeling I share with my daughter just sums up the reason why we chose the theme. With Ms.Khim Ty-Cruz of Party Deco as our event stylist, she really brought our imaginations to a vivid reality making Aria’s first birthday extra special!”
Aria’s guests were invited to enter the captivating world of Fairy tales. With the entrance all decked up as a huge story book, I love how they made the phrase “Step into the story” literally possible for their guests.
Their ceiling setup was filled with hanging books, stars and moon details to give the venue a touch of bedtime story-feel. Various paper lanterns and pompoms were used to add color to the whole installation.
Stretching the ceiling details to the stage, the added Aria storybook-decorated letter standees adorn with some of her favorite characters made this setup perfect for the theme.
I’m blown away by their adorable table centerpieces featuring a vibrant color palette and cute figurines of the characters. Some of them were even arranged with props that are connected to the story like the “Drink Me” bottles for Alice in Wonderland, baskets filled with apples for Snow White and Tinkerbelle’s fairy house!
No bedtime story-themed party will ever be complete without a bed and Khim wonderfully injected this important detail in their kiddie table setup. Complete with headboard and pillows, they also got something for Aria’s little guests to do while waiting for the program to start. Those cloud pillows also served as their party giveaways. Cuteness!
And I’m floating on cloud 9! These gorgeous sweets are love, love, love! From Winnie the Pooh’s honey jar and Snow White’s apple cakepops to those 2D Evil Queen (transformed into the scary old lady) with apple cookies, everything in Aria’s dessert tablescape looks scrumptious. The pillar-like detail made from various storybooks Party Deco used on both sides also added a touch of awesomeness to the whole look.
