Welcome to Enchancia! Today, we’re going to meet the new girl in crown, Ysabelle, with whom this party was held in honor of. Disney princess Sofia the First is so popular among little girls these days, so it was no surprise that she has found her way into birthday parties as a favorite theme. Sofia the First loves the color purple, so it just wouldn’t feel right if this celebration is in a different shade. Pops of gold and teal were used as color accents and flower power livened up the venue. With Dianne Khu’s styling and designing sorcery, this party is truly enchanting.
So, how does a princess-in-training celebrate her 1st birthday? Let’s check out some photos from Fairy Tale Studios for some pointers.
The festive atmosphere was set perfectly, huge thanks to the ceiling installments! Swags in lilac swept overhead, with gold, purple and teal Japanese lanterns. Honeycomb paper lanterns, floral accents, greens and ribbons were also added for variety and depth.
To say that the stage was wow-worthy would be an understatement. The main area was just amazing! Princess Sofia loves to hang out in her secret garden. And in this case, we are so relieved that this garden is no secret at all. With its full-blown flowers, floral canopies, resplendent aura and a cozy little bench — it would be a shame if it’s unknown to everyone. Princess Sofia herself and Clover welcomed guests with open arms and warm smiles.
The tabletops were simple yet sweet, with personalized napkin holders to boot. Inspired by terrariums, royal family members were showcased inside jars while charming floral arrangements roofed their heads.
With Bethany Dream Cake spearheading the sweet elements, it’s already given that the cake would be a certified show-stopper. The 3-layered cake was full of charming garden and woodland details! All three layers were garnished with cute little flowers and mushrooms, while Sofia and her furry friends stood as toppers. A closer look would reveal the love and magic used to conjure up this cake.
Princess Sofia would definitely love the desserts station! The dark greenery of the background and the deep purple flowers were in perfect contrast to the tickle-me shades of the entire spread. Cookies, cake pops and cupcakes were adorned with jewels and flower details. Some cupcakes even had Sophia the First fondant toppers. I also love the pretzels on the twigs. What a neat idea!
It wouldn’t be a kiddie party without a magician, so guests were treated to an incredible spellbinding show. The real magic, however, started when Disney Princesses Jasmine, Ariel, Belle and Sofia joined in the fun and captivated the guests with their performance.
Not only is there a new princess in town, but new food carts were also summoned to hype up this feast. Cotton candy connoisseurs of Fluffed, artisan ice cream from Merry Moo and gourmet Belgian fries courtesy of Fritters — only the cream of the ‘food cart’ crop made it to this royal banquet.
Ysabelle’s photo area exuded a whimsical charm, huge thanks to the lighted bird cages and backdrop. Large floral accents made really big statements. More greens and mushrooms made it all the more enchanting, and cute photos of Ysabelle finished off the entire set-up.
Ysabelle did not hold back when it came to thanking the guests for celebrating with her. As take-home tokens, the children were given loot in Princess Sofia-inspired pull-string bags. Her fairy godparents were offered some fine wine, packaged in rustic jute bags.
Happily ever after is just starting for Ysabelle and her dear family.
