Finally, the HBO hit series “Game of Thrones” makes a surprise appearance here in blog today and I can’t contain my excitement. It’s a theme that I have been longing to feature and I am glad that Qaleesi’s party is worth the wait. Seriously, I am very jealous of this one year old little girl for having such a gorgeous birthday fête. To begin with, the celebrant’s name fits perfectly to the show so naturally this became the jumping off point for her party.
Here’s a spoiler alert for all GoT’s hard-core fans out there. Since this is a children’s party, they decided to go for a more glamorous approach and less with the gory medieval, battle for realm domination route of the show. But hey, don’t fret because Khim of Party Deco made sure that Qaleesi’s lavish pink and gold affair is full of spellbinding visuals that many of you will find an instant connection with. So if you’re wondering on how to inject a certain air of girly-ness to this theme then this party will surely give you tons of inspiration. Still feeling a little hesitant on how everything will unfold?
Using a very pretty combination of pink and gold with a touch of teal to their venue setup instantly made Qualeesi’s party the perfect royal affair.
To make sure that they capture the Game of Thrones spirit, different house banners and mottos were used as embellishments to their ceiling treatment.
A medieval look with a classy and modern update, their stage setup looks amazing! And the working smoke-breathing gold dragon they added made Qaleesi’s party so much cooler.
For their table centerpiece, check out these themed cut-outs that represent the families that were competing for the Iron Throne while the lovely flower arrangements immediately added a dash of elegance to the setup.
Because even medieval festivities need feast-worthy sweet treats, yes? See all these GoT themed deserts. Even Qaleesi’s towering cake looks extra gorgeous, a cake fit for a royalty. Here’s a detailed description from Qualeesi’s mom:
“Hobby with my hubby made a voracious impressive spread of GOT themed sweets such as cookies with the design of the emblem and labeled it “Dragonstone Crest”. “River Run Boats” for Alor’s boat shaped fruit tarts. “Casterly Rock Tower” for Lacrema’s French macaron tower and “Hodor’s Matcha Cheese and Kings Landing Cake” for Lachi’s bite sized cheesecakes.”
They gave away these adorable personalized themed pillows and hamper sets for Qualeesi’s friends.
