Noella’s Winnie the Pooh Themed Baptismal Celebration

Hundred Acre Wood Party Ideas

94 years ago, a little boy and his teddy bear inspired a series of stories about a charming bear named Winnie-the-Pooh. Fast forward to the present, the same young boy and his teddy bear would fire the imagination of Bespoke Manila’s design genius to create a version of Ashdown Forest for the christening party of the lovely Noella.

Close friends and family members received an invitation that may well have come from a vintage 1972 copy of the World of Pooh.

Surely the sight of Noella looking like an angel in her white lace baptismal gown is enough to warm the heart. Everyone present is blessed as they witness Noella receiving the gifts of the Holy Spirit.

At the reception entrance, a seat plan in a very rustic chic vibe help guests find their seats. A piece of burlap is mounted on a wooden frame stand adorned with a floral arrangement made with Star Gazers, pink carnations and roses, yellow aster and green mums and refreshing foliage.

The tables, draped in white table cloth and embellished with a beautiful floral arrangement, speak understated elegance. Next to this is a simpler arrangement combining a Carnation and some Statice in a bottle covered with twine. An illustrated page from Winnie-the-Pooh is set in a wooden frame. This together with a white ceramic candle holder completed the centerpiece.

Noella celebrated her christening with an adorable, too-cute-to-eat cake. The first layer is covered in white fondant with a band of yellow fondant at the bottom. It takes great skill to bake a delicious cake but it’s another level of expertise to decorate it. On this layer, Pooh Bear and Piglet are painted just as an illustrator would on a page of a storybook. The second layer is a 3D rendering of Pooh Bear’s honey pot. A swarm of hand-painted fondant bees hover around the honey pot.

The desserts corner is always one of the star attractions in any party. For Noella’s sweetscape, all the sugary treats were arranged on a table covered in white cloth and adorned with pink Statice flowers simply laid out on the edge. White and yellow chrysanthemums in a big honey pot vase and a smaller ceramic jar make a striking addition to an already irresistible sweets spread. Along with the wonderful cake, Noella and her guests feasted on cupcakes with buttercream frosting and sugar cookies decorated with royal icing. The sugar cookies came in the form of honey bees, light blue honey pots, bee hives and book pages with some of Winnie-the-Pooh quotes. Who wouldn’t enjoy this sugar rush?
