Audrey’s Dollhouse Themed Party – 3rd Birthday

There is no place like a doll’s home. Created to represent all the cherished belongings in life, a dollhouse is a prized possession for the young and young at heart who love style in everything! With more options – styles, features, and accessories – available today than ever, it continues to be an enchanting and popular playroom accessory that gives the little ones an opportunity to develop their social skills and stretch their creativity.

Audrey got all dolled up for her oh-so adorable third birthday celebration. Styled by Pauline of Whimsy + Chic Invites, the scene oozed elegance and was exquisitely adorned with sweet Victorian paper dolls and paper dollhouses. It was one pastel-popping bash with soft pink and blue as the main color scheme – which always look classy together. Those paper dollhouses that light up had me falling head over heels for this bash – along with a whole lot more darling little details just waiting for you to check out. When was the last time you spent endless hours engrossed in your own dollhouses? Relive those fond memories as Dustein Sibug Photography captured everything cute in here for you to take a peek! Have a playful and imaginative time, dollies!

Sharing with us her thoughts on planning her daughter’s party is Mommy Pauline of Whimsy + Chic Invites:

“Growing up, I enjoyed cutting & playing dress up with my paper dolls. Now, it has come full circle as my 3-year-old loves to play pretend with the paper dolls & dollhouses I made for her.

It seems fitting to organize a party that would capsulized everything that I found memorable growing up, share it and magnify it to something very momentous for my little live doll.

The creative process flowed as I have been itching to make big paper houses for table centerpieces, and I’ve always had this thing for vintage & retro. Ergo, a Vintage Paperdoll/dollhouse theme is just perfect for my little doll Audrey’s 3rd birthday!”

I can only imagine how pretty Audrey’s dollhouse look inside based on this charming entryway! The round topiaries in a variety of sizes created a lush entry for the room. There were also a chalkboard sign and an “A” letter standee to catch the attention of the guests. The mini paper dollhouses made their entrance area look very cute and cozy.

The stage was bright and bouncy! With patio pops of color, guests were in for an indoor picnic-esque atmosphere. The green mat and round topiaries created a laid-back ambiance. The natural edge and unique shape of the wooden bench went wonderfully with the entire theme. I instantly fell in love with the backdrop! It was an intricately crafted dollhouse in shades of blue, mint, and pink which perfectly perked up the scene. The ice-cream balloon knotted to the bench, hanging colorful pompoms, shabby chic furniture, letter standee, and paper doll standee were also a fun addition to the stage.

The artificial turf table runner – paired with pink and white table covers – created a great contrast to the palette. The lush bouquets, colorful buckets, and wood picket fence planters are nothing new, but together they created a relaxed tabletop decoration. My favorites are the tiny lamps featured on the dollhouses. I love the way they look all lit up even at daytime!

Decorated with layers of perfect pastel fondant and green buttercream frosting, any little girl would love this cake. It was truly picture-perfect with surrounding grass cupcakes and a shabby chic stand – complete with paper doll cardboard bunting and fun toys such as piano and sewing machine.

The dessert table was full of pink and blue, polka dots, and a lot of sweet treats! The dollhouses gave the setup some height, while the polka-dotted balloons added a festive touch. The station got so much cuter with the addition of letter standees and paper doll buntings. Some of the sweet goodies offered in this bash were sugar cookies decorated with paper doll dresses, sugar-free sans rival, jordan almonds, rock candy crystals, and jelly beans.
