Watermelon Themed Party Ideas
The best birthday celebrations always feature the celebrants’ favourite things – an awesome super hero, the funniest cartoon character or even a favorite fruit. For Alicia who turned 1 year old, it was a one in a million, watermelon birthday bash. Hats off to Kiss The Girl Events for coordinating this splendid, “fruity” party! It was a well-documented event with Mhel Mesa Photography taking the most incredible shots.
Guests received the cutest invitation card featuring nothing else but Alicia’s favourite in the sweetest pastel pink and green hues.
Alicia’s dainty tulle skirt was a divine sapphire pink that came with a sleeveless top abundantly adorned with watermelon slices. Cuteness overload!
The entrance to the garden party was adorned with pink ribbons and paper melons that reminded one of the festive garland-festooned Maypole in quaint English villages on May Day.
The main setup was a splash of alternating pastel pink and green balloons. The peacock chair and palm leaves added a tropical ambience and the shabby chic lamps, wooden crate table and tulle provided a rustic feel – altogether, what one might describe as the work of a creative genius.
The wooden tables were adorned with watermelon hues – tender-crisp and succulent ruby red and sapphire pink table cloth and ribbons. These, plus the mason jars and white rustic lamps, made for more shabby-chic!
Alicia’s young guests sat on huge, fluffy pillows and had a low, easy-to-reach table – hassle-free for accompanying parents who could sit back and relax, and enjoy the party with their children.
Kids and adults alike lined up for a slice of this mouth-watering, two-tier watermelon-themed cake, probably imagining tender-crisp, sweet and juicy watermelons…
Everyone’s last stop is the one that usually has the longest queue – the sweets corner! Along with Alicia’s pretty watermelon cake, guests could say goodbye to their diet and binge on cake pops, cupcakes, cookies, meringue, éclairs and chocolate brownies!
The party would not be as epic without the game master Jojo Perez and the fun and thrill of the party activities he came up with. Guests were also treated to the great Leodini’s magic tricks.
Their guests went home with a photo keepsake taken in this rustic scene – a wine barrel decorated with ivy leaves and pink wisteria.
Alicia’s proud parents showed her off in this lovely photo gallery that featured her milestones from her first month to her first year!
Goodie bags were given to the guests, a happy take-home from a happy party!
It was indeed a joyful birthday celebration for a little girl who will surely continue to flourish in family love. Her doting parents and older brother truly made her feel one in a melon!
