When my sister-in-law and I started brainstorming for my nephew’s first birthday party, one of the hardest part was choosing the party theme. Initially, she wanted a transportation themed party because Kyle is very much in to these types of shows and on the other hand, there’s also Mickey Mouse. Since vintage-y is pretty popular nowadays, we also threw that in to the equation. So that’s 3 possible themes for 1 party! That’s when Kathleen of Spark + Twinkle suggested a great mash-up – Mickey Mouse Steampunk themed party. I just love how she nailed all 3 different themes easily and turns it into pure awesomeness. Naturally, I’m drawn to themes that are fresh, fun and out of the box, and so, yey! Wonderfully covered by Stanley Ong Photography, I pinky promise you that Kyle’s party will not disappoint.
Ready for some steampunk-ery fun? Here’s the ticket aka invites to Kyle’s birthday bash.
At the entrance, these K-Y-L-E standees that comes complete with gears and winders looks totally adorbs.
Aside from the blue swags that replicate the sky/ outdoor feel, different types of 3D vintage aircraft and hot air balloons were also used to jazz up the ceiling.
The stage setup featured a 3D version of vintage Mickey and Minnie Mouse. From the map background, lighted letters and detailed elements galore, everything is simply fantastic.
Oldie but goodie, various old-school transportation centerpieces adorned the tables. I love the vintage train and red jalopy replica, super cute.
Check-out Kyle’s scrumptious sweet treats tablescape. From the gears-inspired cakepops and cupcakes to the Mickey steampunk sugar cookies, every dessert is adorably done in full details. Let’s not forget Kyle’s cute three-tiered birthday cake.
Offering some on the spot souvenirs, Kyle’s themed mobile studio and bag tag booth were made available for everyone at the party. Everything was perfectly tied up to the theme, of course.
To keep the fun going through-out the party, tons of activities, foodcarts, games and magic show by host Marcus were prepared for the guests.
These leatherette insulated lunch bags served as Kyle’s giveaways. I have three of these and I guarantee you that my kids love it to bits!
