Some bunny just turned one! Cartoon characters have always been a common ground for party themes, so having your favorite animal as the inspiration for your birthday bash is such a refreshing treat. Bunnies are extremely popular during Easter eggs-travanganzas, but birthday bunnies are few and far between. Renee is one of those whose parties ‘hopped’ right out-of-the-box! Cute cottontails and rabbit ears, plus a meadow-full of impeccable details and special touches had sealed in the wow-factor in this celebration. Eventstyles by Kathy Sy King headed the designing and had successfully transformed the venue into a lovely meadow. Assorted flowers, both fresh and handmade, had definitely cheered everything up. And what’s a bunny birthday party without some real bunnies, right? Adorable little rabbits were also stars in this charming fete!

A couple of cottontails showed guests the way to the party, although I’m pretty sure that won’t be necessary, given the gigantic floral archway. Love those R and 1 marquees!
To incorporate the fresh meadow-like vibes, an abundance of greens and colorful butterflies were installed in the ceiling. Swags, in the same color as carrots, were also added for a pop of color. The most eye-catching detail in this set-up would be, hands down, those bunnies in baskets!
Mirroring the details of the invite, but definitely one notch up, was this colorful meadow background with a family of bunnies. Huge paper flowers bedecked the background for more impact, and butterflies added some sweetness to the entire set-up. The grass carpet flowed seamlessly into the background, making the meadow feels more complete.
I absolutely adore the table set-up! There is nothing more classic than flower arrangements sprucing up tablespreads, and these centerpieces did not disappoint. Pastel-colored flowers and succulents made for really sweet focal points, and Renees’s photos in rabbit frames made it more personalized. Grass runners against a salmon-hued tablecloth is such a unique combination, and it definitely works! To compliment the theme, even the table napkins were folded as bunny ears!
Kids were assigned to low tables, covered in the same salmon linens with green gingham. Place mats arranged symmetrically resulted in a wider meadow effect. Baskets of treats were also provided for a dose of sugar rush.
Among Renee’s desserts spread, the 3-layered decadent cake stood, ready to be admired. It features the same winning design concept: a litter of 3 cute bunnies against a meadow of flowers. Renee’s name stood out perfectly on the second layer, and a bunch of colorful blossoms crowned the rainbow-clad top layer.
If you think art appreciation can not be mixed with satisfying your sugar fix, then you clearly haven’t seen any of Sugarplum Pastries’ desserts. These fine sweetmeats are certainly a treat both for the palate as well as the sight. Bunnies, flowers, butterflies and rainbows are enough to bring out a smile in anyone. But put them together with cupcakes, cookies and macarons and it’s a guaranteed happy vibes for the entire day.
One of the defining factors of a party’s success is the fun and excitement offered to guests. Needless to say, having a rabbit petting and adoption station has definitely set the bar up high when it comes to entertainment. Children were charmed by cute little bunnies, and the fact that they can take them home is a winning entry in our books!
Renee’s gorgeous photo area featured some sweet little mementos. Showcased were her favorite books, beloved toys, some pretty outfits and cute shoes, and photos of Renee with her lovely family. Making the set-up more special is Renee’s hand and foot casting box, which truly deserves being the focal point of the area.
Renee’s party prizes definitely fit the theme to the tee, and they’re all extremely cute! Got lucky at the game booths? Choose a prize from a wide range of adorable goodies, all bunny themed: from chairs to hair bands to bedroom slippers…these loots are a surefire way to get those kids coming back for more!
Opting for an edible take-away? Don’t fret, Renee’s got your back. Popcorn in delightful new flavors are also available for the guests to munch on.
Thank you tokens and gifts were housed in personalized paper bags. True to the theme, the bags mirrored the main design elements of the party.
