Butterflies are one of nature’s most enchanting creatures. What little girl or boy isn’t fascinated by the fact that a crawly caterpillar transforms into something as beautiful as a butterfly? The beauty and whimsy of butterflies are captivating to children of all ages. With springtime in the air, bringing a butterfly theme to life is a great choice for shindigs to get all your guests a flutter!
I go a little crazy with Morgan’s first birthday celebration! With pretty butterfly silhouettes and soft color palettes, her bash is such a darling! The Party Magic team adorned the Summer Palace Restaurant in EDSA Shangri-La Hotel with everything purple, pink, and white. All the beautiful details – when pulled together – created a very seasonal and enchanted party scene, complete with butterflies and an indoor paradise. Keep reading for all the whimsical elements – captured by Little People Lifestyle Photography – that will undoubtedly leave you wishing for your own little wings.
To blend in the restaurant’s Oriental fashion, paper lanterns were suspended around the venue. Little colorful butterflies glued on them were such a lovely added touch. The decorations had a pastel pink and purple treatment to tie the theme in.
This gorgeous invitation set the tone for the event. It used the colors of soft pink and soft orange. It was pretty and elegant on an easel dressed up with large paper rosettes!
The restaurant by itself is already a heavily adorned venue. Ergo, the focus of Party Magic team was on creating a magical ambiance in this enclosed circular dining area in the middle of the restaurant. The entryway was adorned with MORGAN 3-D letters and paper blooms. The simplicity and mystery of it all added to the excitement of what more the wonderland has to offer.
The endless ways butterflies were used to embellish the enclosed dining area really wowed me! The eye-catching display of butterflies acted both as frills and a photo backdrop. I personally love the butterfly wall ornament and the curtain of paper butterflies! The dreamy butterfly garden also showcased Morgan’s personal stuff, huge paper rosettes, and butterflies in round topiaries. The purple and white lighting took the place to a whole new level!
The whimsical table centerpieces included a bird cage beautifully wrapped with blooms and attached with a butterfly. The hearty menu was also laid out on the table.
Morgan’s purple ombre cake by Tazzy Cakes was absolutely stunning! It was definitely worthy of its featured spot on the dining area – no need for elaborate desserts buffet! The second tier was filled with fondant ruffles while the first and last tiers were decorated with blooms, gold, and butterfly detailing. An “M” sign was placed atop the cake. The gesso mirror frame also signed with “M” gave the backdrop a three-dimensional effect.
The personalized favor box were wrapped in pink tulle and ringed with a ribbon and a butterfly.
