Carnivals elicit the feeling of fun, excitement, wonder and awe, so it was no surprise that this is such a popular theme for children’s party. There are so many elements to play with and so many ideas that can be put to life with a carnival-inspired affair. For Mia’s birthday celebration, guests experienced the same level of entertainment that a real carnival has to offer, albeit a different twist. Instead of the usual red, blue and white colors, this revelry ran full swing in delicate shades, fit for a charming little girl. The party was held outdoors and no amount of rain could have dampened the festive atmosphere. Sweet Nest Events stepped right up to the job of making sure that the styling and designing would be nothing short of awesome.
Excited for a sneak peek at this dreamy carnival affair? So are we!
The ceiling treatment was simply pretty. Swags in fuchsia were laid out and pink pompoms were used as accents. Japanese lanterns in shades of teal and gold gave a pop of color and tassels were added for some variety.
Dreamy and captivating would be the perfect words to describe the stage. A carnival isn’t one without a carousel and a Ferris wheel, so these two staples were highlighted in the main area. A big marquee spelling out Mia’s name was placed as the focal point and a little lady made the entire stage all the more gorgeous.
Fresh flowers, circus animal and a miniature “M” standee were used to prettify each table.
This head-turner of a cake, produced by none other than Sweet Creations by Mums, has definitely made its way up on our lists. Each layer was decked with intricate circus details presented in the daintiest way possible. This one definitely takes the cake, (no pun intended!).
The guests’ sugar fix was satiated with a swoon-worthy desserts station. Just like the cake, these ambrosian assortments did not disappoint.
Carnivals are melting pots of entertainment, so it was no wonder that Mia’s party offered loads of entertainers. In true circus fashion, the guests were treated to shows such as magic show, balancing acts and juggling cavorts. Mia also added some carnival grub to keep everyone at high energy.
What’s a carnival without games and activities, right? Guests entertained themselves with a chock-full of shenanigans, such as balloon twisting, face painting, inflatables, and of course, game booths! Exciting prizes await the winners!

Carnival chow such as colorful jelly beans and these extra charming pillows served as thank you tokens for the guests.
Such a pretty little lady Mia is! Nothing could make a party more special than the presence of family.
