When I was a kid, my mom would read to me ‘Humpty Dumpty’, my favorite nursery rhyme. I can remember how my baby brother would giggle when I try to mimic my mom when she reads to us. Being a grown up made me realize how much childhood memories these mini poetry brings. Lucky for us, Dianne Khu Designs and Party Starters brought these little pieces of literary works to life when they put together the perfect theme for our sweet Madeleine’s first birthday bash. While everything moved magically during the celebration, Little People Photography capture every shining moment on this day.
This charming sign welcomed the guests upon their entry at the venue. It was matched with equally lovely flowers to enhance its warmth.
Madeleine’s playmates received these beautiful party hats as soon as they made their way to the rendezvous.
Popular nursery rhymes were displayed on these vintage banners. How adorable are these darlings?
Hi there Jack and Jill! The pastel colors that were used on stage did not only make it look very pleasant but also classy. It exudes that old-fashioned bookish feels while staying chic through and through.
I love how those dainty balloon pillars made the view even more charming.
I revere those tables. Wow. The centerpiece is composed of these fresh floral tower, an intimate family memoir and table napkins made special with a mini poesy. Look at those candelabras!
Some coloring fun for the kid while they wait for the party to start.
Handcrafted by Marjorie Chua, this multilayered cake reminded me of the nursery rhyme ‘Mary, Mary Quite Contrary’. The garden on this stunner truly glows!
Seems like a single cake won’t be enough for Madeleine’s fab celebration so Sugarplum Pastries made more literary inspired confections. Humpty Dumpy looks oh-so-squishy on that seat!
Storytelling time sweet tooth style! Loaded with Instagram-worthy sweet treats, Sugarplum Pastries made the dessert spread bloom. Bookworms surely had an eyeful at these.
I’m sure Madeleine couldn’t be happier to see her friends in delight. Who has the biggest smile? Eeny, Meeny, Miny, Moe!
No need to choose among your dear character and baby poems because all is here! Say cheese precious darlings!
The very inviting Jack and Jill are printed on the giveaways asking Madeleine’s little guests to take them home.
You will forever be mommy and daddy’s little princess, Madeleine. Keep lighting their hearts with your smile!
