Royal Tea Party
Thanks to the seventh Duchess of Bedford, we get to enjoy the most quintessential of English customs – the afternoon tea! Today, all eyes are on the fancy tea party of our adorable one year old, Astrid Beatrix. With the planning savvy team of Party Doll Manila Events teaming up with Styled by Deiz’s brilliant arrangements and décor, Astrid had the grandest time with her family and friends.
Imagine the priceless china pots used at high tea at the Duchess’ country house, Woburn Abbey. Like those expensive china, Astrid’s invites are in the shape of lavender teapots complete with a matching dainty teacup! The guests are in for one royal fête.
A marquee entrance with a beautiful floral arch, lavishly adorned with pink, white and lavender blooms welcome Astrid’s guests.
The ceiling is a sea of lavender! Yards of white, purple and lavender voile fabric are accompanied by paper ball lanterns in the same hues. The white and lavender wisteria vines hanging from the ceiling call to mind the tunnels at the Kawachi Fujien gardens. Oh, to be cloaked in this magic!
The enchantment continues with a stage that is just as dreamy – a shining white castle with purple turrets. Clouds of white and lavender balloons seem poised to take our princess Astrid off to a magical adventure.
The tables were all dressed up in lavender cloth, a slate blue table runner with white flowers and orchid table napkins. White roses in full bloom sit comfortably in white porcelain teacups while purple statice and white hydrangea are arranged in a matching white teapot. A wine bottle wrapped in twine and customized street sign table décor complete this ultra-chic centerpiece.
Echoing the magical stage, Astrid blew the candle on this awesome three-tier castle cake. The towers on each layer have gilded windows and the white turrets are decorated with a gold fondant family crest. A fondant princess Astrid wearing a resplendent lavender gown is the perfect cake topper for this very royal cake.
Guests with the sweetest tooth satisfied their craving with a host of yummy desserts at Astrid’s Patisserie. Just a bite of these mouth-watering macarons will take you to 7th heaven!
Guests are “happy na, healthy pa” with Fruitas fresh fruit drinks. Name your choice, and they’ll “shake” it up for you. And who would say no to TJ Hotdog stand’s tender, juicy hotdogs just out of the skillet? The aroma is enough to whet the appetite.
Astrid and her guests were entertained by our lively host, Shahein Abraham while a jaw-dropping display of magical acts by Rico the Magician made sure everyone was hanging on to their seats. The children were a captive audience as the Disney princesses from Madison Events gave their most dazzling performance.
There’s never a dull moment with Party Play’s special play nooks for the children – small tables to play teatime and a corner full of huge Lego blocks. The budding artists, among Astrid’s friends got to put on smocks and painted some figurines with their favorite colors.
Mommies and daddies pair up with their darling kiddos in an exciting fishing game. It’s a race to win some really cool prizes!
Soft, cuddly blanket pillows went home in the arms of Astrid’s friends. What nice, thoughtful giveaways!
There’s a phrase that completely describes Astrid’s family – “happiness in one frame”. May she continue to grow, nourished in her family’s love.
