Party themes are constantly evolving, and one trend we are absolutely loving is designer chic. We’ve already seen Dior’s elegant Toile de Jouy, but this time, think preppy yet playful. Such was the aesthetic inspired by legendary designer Thom Browne—amidst the greys and blacks were the iconic four white stripes and ribbons of red, white, and blue. We at Party Doll Manila Events were delighted to witness a celebration—dual, nonetheless!—that blended couture sensibilities with the warmth of family milestones. Stylist Kids Party Hub transformed the occasion into a charming gathering of loved ones, beautifully captured by Seasons Photography.
The 2-in-1 fête at Blackbird was certainly no fashion crime, as it took place in one of the chicest venues in the metro. The entrance décor was minimalist yet striking—blue-gray and light gray arches paired with delicate floral accents created a classy welcome. The unmistakable tricolor grosgrain ribbon and a caricature of Thom Browne’s beloved dachshund, Hector, immediately set the stylish tone for the celebration.
Inside, the stage beautifully carried forward the designer-inspired theme. Thom Browne’s signature grosgrain detailing, the red-white-blue trifecta, and Hector—the designer’s iconic dog muse—created the perfect backdrop for celebrating Anton Lucian and Anton Nicolas Jr. We especially loved the thoughtful addition of potted greenery, furniture pieces, and warm lighting, which created a cozy nook for the celebratory cakes as well.
No celebration is complete without a centerpiece, and the cakes for the occasion did exactly that. Two beautifully designed creations by Bespoke by Jackie stood proudly on display, each reflecting the signature palette of red, white, and blue grosgrain accents. Anton Nicolas Jr.’s baptismal cake featured white and light blue details paired with whimsical toy elements, while Anton Lucian’s birthday cake showcased a more vibrant palette and bolder accents. Side by side, the cakes perfectly symbolized the day’s dual celebration: one marking a joyful birthday milestone, the other welcoming a new chapter of faith.
At the guest tables, the inspiration continued in the most tasteful Thom Browne way possible. Crisp white linens and napkins tied with deep blue-gray ribbons paid homage to the legendary designer’s penchant for classic tailoring and reinvention. Adding a pop of color was the iconic red-white-blue band wrapped around the table markers.
One corner that absolutely captured our hearts was the photo gallery. The blue-gray and striped walls offered a simple yet sophisticated backdrop for the boys’ photos, documenting their earliest moments and growth. From newborn portraits to family snapshots, the collection told a heartfelt story of their milestones and journey so far.
While the styling felt sophisticated, the celebration never forgot its youngest guests. A dedicated soft play area by City Jumps N Slide offered an inviting space for children to explore, complete with slides, a ball pit, animal rockers, foam blocks, ride-on toys, and cozy seating. There was even a race track outside for little ones with a need for speed!
It’s never too early to teach children how to care for pets, and through the pop-up pet shop, guests could choose from fish, bunnies, and turtles to take home. Decorated with whimsical illustrations, the playful station drew curious little visitors—and even adults interested in learning more about caring for small animals.
Of course, no celebration for little ones would be complete without games! Host Madz made sure everyone enjoyed interactive moments throughout the party. A saxophone player provided classy instrumental music in the background, while exciting games kept guests entertained. One of the biggest highlights was the dachshund-shaped piñata—a delightful nod to Thom Browne’s beloved Hector.
For a more personalized touch, there was also an onsite engraving nook where guests could have their chosen tumbler customized with names or meaningful phrases. It was a thoughtful detail that transformed ordinary keepsakes into memorable mementos.
Before heading home, guests were invited to choose a souvenir from a display designed to resemble charming wall décor. Duffel bags by Cheerful Creatives PH were neatly arranged among illustrations of dachshunds and U.S. landmarks, making the setup feel just like a designer boutique.
At the heart of the celebration were the moments shared by family. Stylishly dressed for the occasion, Anton Lucian beamed with toddler curiosity, while baby Anton Nicolas Jr. was lovingly cradled by his proud parents. Surrounded by laughter, warm embraces, and the people who mattered most, it became more than just a party—it was a joyful celebration of love, growth, and two meaningful milestones.
