Luke’s “The Very Hungry Caterpillar” Themed Party – 1st Birthday

Just when you thought you couldn’t love children’s parties any harder, then you’ll be surprised. Luke’s “The Very Hungry Caterpillar” themed party is too ridiculously cute in every aspect that I couldn’t help myself not to swoon. From the darling giant caterpillar replica at the stage to the detailed centerpieces, it’s as if we jumped right inside the book! With Passion Cooks’ signature styling of injecting clever and gorgeous details throughout their parties, Luke’s party is no different. In fact since Maja of Passion Cooks is Luke’s Aunt, we really ought to expect something over the top fantastic! I’m glad the talented crew of The Happy Folks Studio captured everything beautifully because there were just so many details worth noting.

Everything looks bright and happy just like how Eric Carle imagined it to be. I also love how they managed to capture the same lovable appeal of the book and brought it to life.

In exact reference to the book, we can see the very hungry caterpillar gracing their tables. Wait, did I just mention the word “caterpillar” and “table” in the same sentence? You betcha! These caterpillars look so freaking adorbs! I wouldn’t mind having them in my table, too. For the kids table, I l-o-v-e those sugar cookies complete with hole in them where the kids can wiggle their fingers in.

They also have different foodcarts and scrumptious desserts for guests to enjoy. The caterpillar made from paper lanterns is the perfect embellishment to their dessert tablescape.

To keep Luke’s little friends busy during the party, they lined up several arts and crafts activities, story telling with shadow puppetry show, and fun games. They also gave out these adorable giveaways.

Unlike the typical tiered birthday cakes, they chose to have this charming cupcake train cake. It’s the perfect caterpillar cake, right?

  1. Nice concept! Gives the kids awareness of nature. I love the centerpiece on the tables – like a mini-garden. Green is so refreshing to the eyes and it made all the other colors stand out. Great job!

  2. AMAZING! We are a fan of The Very Hungry Catterpillar when my son was younger and that party is impressive. It truly feels like you’re in the book. Kudos to the event planner for making sure the details are the same or very similar to the book.

  3. OMG! When will event planners ever run out of party ideas? Love those mason jars. I’m so obsessed with them lately that I’m making over my kitchen. I’m so done with plastic 🙂

  4. The table decors are just fine and the foods yummy. But, catterpillar stuff, parang ayoko. Di ba maraming kids ang takot dyan. Just my say.
