There are days when you check your newsfeed, you go like “Ummm..yah..great…nice” and then there are days that you would go like “Umm…yah…great…wait…*scrolls up*…Wow!” Kairo’s urban hipster party definitely belongs to the WOW group. One of the coolest parties we’ve featured here in PDM, from its out of the box theme to the eye-catching colors, prints and details, I just love how everywhere I look there are mini works of art! Styled by the fabulous Pinwheel Crafts and Events, they are one of the stylists that love to step out of their comfort zone and offer something fresh and unique on the plate. Yes please! Filled with playful decoration and details, this party pretty much smashed the party norms and made its own level of coolness! A perfect theme for your little dapper dudes and dudettes, this party got loads of eye candy for us to enjoy.
The details they used in their ceiling setup blew me away. Those geometric pattern thingees in bright colors added a very hipster-y vibe to the venue. A clean and very minimalist approach to ceiling setup, I have to say that they did a bold move here and it certainly pays off. The decors went very well with the default interior design of the venue, it even added an extra kick and made the venue more chic!
I’m very much aware that their theme is not very kiddie-looking and maybe that’s what drew me to Kairo’s bash. The uniqueness of the theme brings out my nosiness curiosity. They forego the usual cutesy stage backdrops and chose to have a more cool and sophisticated installation instead. A look that goes to the more eccentric side of kiddie party styling, if you must.
For their table centerpieces, they brought together a bunch of mismatched stuff and made it into something interesting. With the same geometric details they used at the ceiling, the geometric shaped papers, wooden bikes and cameras made the whole set look very distinct – in a good way, of course. I also love how the chic patterns and bright pop of colors injected fun to their table setting. Pass me that mustache, please.
Even Kairo’s cake and sweet treats by The Bunny Baker looks very urban hipster-y! They even got the perfect unconventional mix of designs for these treats, something that is very fitting for this theme. From the dapper animals at the cake to those mustache and sunnies sugar cookies, even the marshmallows and rice krispies on stick got hipster-ified. Ohh…what about those potted cactus cupcakes? I want!
Their food carts got their own individual style. How cool is that?
Get crafty! Kids in attendance got to unleash their creativity at the craft table and became the ultimate hipster by designing their own hipster style must-haves like crazy glasses, bow tie and beaded jewelry.
Guests were also invited to get wacky and have their photos taken in this kick-ass photo-op setup.
The little tots also scored these very adorable wooden cameras as party giveaways. Now they can flaunt their urban hipster get up with matching props to make it extra stylish.
