Groovy Baby Theme party Ideas
“Grab your hippie beads,
And your old forty-fives;
Dust off your bell bottoms
For a party that jives…”
We’ll be cruisin’ and groovin’
To some 70’s beat,
So come on folks,
It’s Gia’s treat!
Adorable little Gia turned one year old, and her parents threw a marvelous “Groovy One” party with family and friends. Of course, one can only expect a stellar celebration when Party Doll Manila Events and The Party Project Manila team up to create that groovy 70s vibe. Let’s relive every moment as we enjoy the photos captured by Everyday Sunday Studios.
Using the hip lingo of those days, everything about this birthday was “far out!” starting with Gia’s cool, flower-bedecked outfit with matching flower-rimmed sunglasses.
Clouds of balloons in the colors of the boho rainbow came into view as soon as the guests arrived, and true to the theme, the guests immediately spotted a Volkswagen “Kombi” and some “hippie” flowers, icons of the American counterculture movement.
The first item on the agenda was to take a cool photo behind the wheels of this “Kombi” photowall with a matching peace sign. I’m certain this got the guests immersed in the hip 1970s theme. Oh, yeah!
We’re “digging” the flower-power ceiling! It’s a feast of colors with mint, peach, and light yellow ceiling drapes; balloon clouds of the same colors; and flowers—lots of them!
Wow! Gia’s stage was totally grooving! In front of a boho rainbow backdrop, Gia’s awesome cake and a Kombi dotted with flowers were the main highlights. Balloons and peace flowers made everything splendidly retro-chic.
The “chillaxin'” white tablecloth helped highlight the pretty boho rainbow and flowers that served as table centerpieces.
When a cake is so beautifully crafted, you’ll wish you can just stare at it forever. The same is true with Gia’s 3-layer cake, which featured a bohemian rainbow cake topper that slid all the way down to reveal a fondant Gia surrounded by pop balloons and a Volkswagen on the bottom tier.
Guests got a wonderful high from Gia’s dessert spread—oh, so dainty sugar cookies, yummy mango tres leches served in shot glasses, and good, old-fashioned donuts! Additionally, there were red velvet cupcakes, adorable cake pops, and a gorgeous meringue tower.
The Inflatables by Juliana provided Gia and her friends with the unlimited playtime that every birthday party should have. They must have bounced and jumped, crawled and rolled, and laughed to their hearts’ content. What fun!
It’s a happy day indeed for this picture-perfect family. A happy, Groovy One to you, Gia!
