Starry Night Theme Party
Apart from first birthday, baptism is also considered an important milestone for our little one. It’s a joyous occasion for the family to welcome and guide her to the Christian world. So when li’l Astrid was baptized, it was nothing short of merry and dreamy. Styled by Deiz understood the event’s significance, which she tastefully added a touch of whimsy to the lavender-hued theme. We at Party Doll Manila saw how wonderful everything looked in person, so we’re excited to share a few fantastic snaps of the day from Head Hunters Photography.
The ceremony itself was solemn and touching, where Astrid’s godparents prayed over and asked her to be blessed as she grows older.
After the baptismal ceremony, it was time to celebrate with everyone. At the entrance, a lilac arc festooned with golden stars and clouds welcomed every guest at the venue.
Step inside and get ready to be amazed! Swags of white covered the ceiling, further brightening up the space. Meanwhile, dainty paper cut-outs, Japanese lanterns, balloons, and ribbons in white and lavender made for a fanciful — but elegant — overhead décor.
Two words best describes the stage: dreamy and whimsical. True to its theme, lilac and white filled the cozy nook, along with golden stars, fluffy clouds, and balloons. We loved the gilded loveseat, the ideal spot for honoring Astrid and her lovely parents.
On each table, a floral-patterned runner in lavender blush lent a hint of playfulness. A pink and purple bouquet in a box, white roses in vase, and golden candle holders completed the chic setup.
Birthdays aren’t the only times you’d see a gorgeous cake — at christenings, too! Sweet Creations by Mums outdid themselves with the two-tiered pastry, filled to the brim with lovely, thoughtful details. The dreamy masterpiece of a confection had a charming semi-gradient style and was wonderfully littered with adorable characters and tiny golden stars.
For dessert, Sweet Creations by Mums had it covered as well. Cupcakes, chocolate-covered Oreos, sugar cookies, macarons, and cake pops were such an eye candy for their cute, intricate designs. How can you gobble ‘em up in one go without ogling at their adorableness?
It wasn’t a strictly adult affair — some of the guests had to take their totes with them, too. For the young VIPs, there was a creative play area from The Nest, where they can be active with all sorts of puzzles and big blocks.
Because of the dreamy theme, guests brought home pillows in shapes of crescent moon, star, and cloud. Ninongs and ninangs, on the other hand, were given boxes of yummy goodies as tokens of gratitude.
Astrid’s parents and family were thankful for everyone who took the time to welcome her to the Christian world. We at PDM wish her all the blessings and good things that life has to offer as she grows up in faith.
