It is Rocio’s special day – and there is no stopping this mom when it comes to planning the perfect birthday bash for her. Mommy Kimmie Lamata – one of the owners of Look It’s About Me – knows that Rocio loves all things sweet and to roll a ball of Play-Doh. Ergo, for her little one’s fourth birthday, she incorporated these obsessions into an incredible bash.
Ah, the smell of Play-Doh now fills the air! I bet planning this bash was so much fun and seeing everything come together was truly paradise! It’s all about the details! Keep reading to see what Rocio’s bash had in store and fire up your imagination with Play-Doh creations.
Rocio’s invitations were designed to invite guests for a bash packed full of creative ideas. The scene was set in style with this Play-Doh Sweet Shoppe van kawaii paper craft which featured a colorful typography and fun details like printed swirly lollipop, candy, ice cream, and cupcake. The Play-Doh cans – also sent out with the invitations – were a bonus!
A cute board sign saying “Sweet Tooths Welcome” – propped up with an easel – welcomed guests to Rocio’s bash.
A colorful dessert table greeted guests as they made their way into the party room. The concept was all bright fun colors. I just succumbed to the charms of this bash! I absolutely love the red and white peppermint Mylar balloons and the DIY ice cream garland out of paper and fuzzy pompoms. A custom banner to highlight Rocio’s Sweet Shoppe was glued aback of the dessert table. The menu of the sweet treats and a DIY clock out of Play-Doh caps were also on display. The clock was adorable and creative!
Mommy Kimmie set up special tables – filled with details and activities – for the kiddie guests. Yellow and pink linens covered the tables and the mini chairs came in range of vibrant colors. As a prelude to the activities to come, she dressed up the table with the Play-Doh Sweet Shoppe play set and colorful packs, polka-dot nut cups, custom paper cones, and laminated placemats – all added interest to the table. Kids were also given aprons and peppermint chef hats before they engaged in some sort of messy fun! I love how Mommy Kimmie personalized the aprons with the Rocio-Doh logo and made them work well for both boys and girls with the gender neutral colors. What darling peppermint Mylar balloons as tabletop decoration! This array of colorful balloons and bright colors really helped to fill the space and create a playful, kid-friendly vibe.
Peppermint chef hats or Play-Doh hair bands? Take your pick! These colorful head gears gave the kids a perfect look for Rocio’s bash.
For the centerpiece of the party, mom has got to make a statement, as proven by this ice cream cart cake by Marta’s Cakes. How cool is this cake for a girl’s birthday bash? It is simply too gorgeous for words!
The guests were treated to a range of stunning desserts including cupcakes, cake pops, cookies, and candies. The cupcakes were accented with Rocio-Doh logo and candy toppers. I was totally smitten too with these Play-Doh-themed cake pops sprouting from a vintage cart. The cookies were gorgeous little works of edible art! Colorful candies were served up in clear glass vessels and bright bottles were designed for small hands to keep them hydrated through all the rolling and molding of fun shapes with Play-Doh. Awesome!
After everyone had enjoyed their fill of sweet treats, kids started to shape and build exciting Play-Doh creations! The Play-Doh molding compound selections were nestled in a table with canopy. Whether trying it for the first time or coming back for more, Play-Doh is loved by kids and adults so I know that this Play-Doh station was a huge hit!
Rocio’s bash was complete with all materials – craft tables, Play-Doh cans, Play-Doh Sweet Shoppe play set and a variety of packs, personalized placemats, and containers to design with. With a wide selection of Play-Doh molding compounds, kids had completed their unique work of art. They were able to shape and press human figures, create yummy treats, and swirl up their favorite flavor of ice cream! When the sweet-looking masterpieces were ready, Mommy Kimmie wonderfully displayed them on a table for all to see. Don’t worry they won’t melt.
This DIY piñata is the prettiest! Decorated with red and yellow crepe paper fringe and Rocio’s caricature, it made a seriously stylish addition to her party décor – at least until it’s time to destroy it.
After all the fun, each pint-sized guest was sent home with a goody basket that had some sweets placed in personalized containers. Each kid also received a Play-Doh Sweet Shoppe van kawaii paper craft to remember the occasion.
Rocio rocked a Play-Doh can costume on her fourth birthday bash. She looks so adorable!
Rocio showed off her Play-Doh creation. The look on her face says it all. She had a blast!
