Dusty Blue Floral Theme Party
Blessed are the children for they are pure of heart. Each time such a child is dedicated to God through christening, it is a time of joyful celebration!
Callie’s family rejoiced at the blessing of her birth, and they celebrated her life through a christening that was filled with excitement and deep happiness albeit the solemnity of the baptismal rites at the Magallanes Church in Makati.
The angelic Callie wore a beautiful white lace gown. Embroidered small pearls with the intricate lace overlay made Callie’s baptismal gown a work of art that is certain to become a family heirloom many years from now. The comfort of her mommy’s arms cradling her during the ritual cleansing helped ease Callie’s tears, and so was the reassurance coming from her dad’s loving gaze. Her parents were all smiles as they left the church with their darling Callie, now a member of the Christian world.
A very intimate gathering for their family was held in honor of our young celebrant. Symbolizing purity and calmness, white and dusty blue was the color theme for the occasion. Thin white curtains that gently moved with the wind were draped all around the venue. Against a backdrop of white sash windows, the focal point was a raised platform decked with a stunning floral arch – among them were white Annabelle hydrangeas, statice, and roses. Offset by the verdant green leaves, the flower arrangement evoked both a sense of serenity and hopefulness. At the center was Callie’s name in gold.
Callie’s gorgeous tablescape gave off a classic elegance-vibe with its crisp white tablecloth and a powder blue table runner. Vintage white chinawares with gold rims were set on the metallic luxe placemat, along with classy gold silverware.
Callie’s cake was covered in dusty blue fondant, the same color as the hydrangeas on the table. White gumdrop peony buds and blooms with small gold cones like ginger plant flowers were a brilliant addition to this wonderful cake.
Their small group enjoyed a grazing table that was overflowing with the choicest meats, cheeses, bread, and fresh fruits. Everyone must have formed a beeline straight to this table.
In this time of pandemic, Callie’s parents must have thought: “Since you can’t all come to the party, we’ll send the party to you”! Friends and family received a banquet and celebrated with Callie’s family long-distance!
Gifts uniquely packaged in beautifully woven “tampipi” boxes were prepared for Callie’s godparents and special guests.
A day like this is meant for the family books, to be cherished and remembered with love and fondness.
