Ok, so you’ve finally decided when and what time you will be having your party. The next question will be, WHERE? Plan early so that you will be able to book your first choice of venue on the date you want it. Some venues requires 1 year reservation while for others, just months before the event. There are certain factors you need to consider when choosing the right venue such as location, capacity and the over-all ambiance.
Recently, I have found this relatively new events place along Nicanor Garcia St. in Bel Air Village, Makati called R Space Events Venue. R Space was opened by the renowned event planner, Ms. Rita Neri – the fairy god mother of Philippine weddings. If you must know, RNEP is the events coordinator of some of the biggest stars in local showbiz including Judy Ann Santos – Ryan Agoncillo (Wedding), Charlene Gonzales – Aga Mulach (Wedding), KC Concepcion (Debut) to name a few. They just celebrated their 20th year in the industry last July 30, 2013!
R Space was designed by architect Bong Recio. The façade was made to look like a French-English Boutique, elegant yet simple at the same time. There’s ample parking for your guests as well, they have 200 parking slot!
R Space offers 2 options when booking their venue: All-Inclusive Packages and Venue Rental.

i’ve attended a party there and i can’t seem to find the 200 parking spaces. the only parking spaces avaiable are those in front which would fit about 8-10 cars only. the rest of the cars are to be parked along the streets. the event i attended there caused too much traffic because of the lack of parking slots. i wonder where they got the 170 guest. the guest size of the event i attended was 150pax and that’s not even buffet. it was a sit-down dinner and the waiters were like dancing just to be able to serve the food. it gets pretty cramped up in there. it’s a nice venue but not for a big crowd. just to manage everyone’s expectations, the guest size will fit 100-120 for buffet. and the parking spaces, nada.

Hi Eva, thanks for your feedback. I’ve asked Rita Neri Events Venue team for their comment on your concern and here’s their response:
The 170-190 parking slots are street parking (along Nicanor Garcia, Kalayaan and Jupiter). These sections are allocated for our events and the cars are guarded by MAPSA and Bel Air Village Association. These are free and secured parking areas available for our guests to enjoy. Depending on the event and other businesses in the area, slowing down or traffic may happen in the area (just as with other venues).
Clients may also opt to avail of our valet parking service so their guests can conveniently be dropped off in front of the venue. This is a flat rate of Php 2,700.00, which means that on the day of the event, guests won’t be needing to pay for any more valet fees regardless of the number of hours they stay or the number of cars that arrive.
As for the capacity, we always say that our maximum is 170 pax for a banquet set up. But depending on the client’s requirements (what they put during the party: stage, dance floor, DJs booth, Video Projector screen, mobile bar, etc), the lay out and “comfort” level will vary. We’ve had numerous events where guests go up to 180 or 200 pax (but this is for a cocktails type set up) and guests are still comfortable.
For banquet style set ups, we do advise that 100-120 is the best number (like what Ms. Eva said) for more ease of movement. Clients though can maximize to 150-170, depending on their preference. We’ve had numerous events, both social and corporate, that have exceeded the 150 pax guest list. Clients and guests have come out happy, although of course, just like in any business, there will always be observations to the contrary. Rest assured, we always let our clients know the best set up options that they can explore in order to make their event a success.
Thanks for letting me know you reader’s concern and getting our side of the story. Hope you can let me know if can assist in the addressing the concerns of your readers.
Have a great day!

We had my godchild’s baptismal party here. I’d have to agree with Eva. The parking space was troublesome. And it could really get crowded inside. It’s low ceiling can be challenging too. You cant put a lot of drapes or hanging pompoms or balloons because it makes the place look so crowded. The spaces for walking is small. We didn’t even have enough space to play games because of the crowded table set up. The guests were around 120 pax. I actually have pictures of the event perhaps I could email them to you. 🙂

Is this site still updated? I’m canvassing as early as now for our company’s Christmas party. I’m in charge of organizing it this year and I don’t like to cram. The space looks very nice and posh compared to the hotels we’ve rented in the past. How much would a 120-150pax event cost? I need to create a budget proposal for this and have it approved, so I’d rather start early than pray for an available venue come December.
Also, some friends are looking for a place that can sit around 50pax max. Sound system, projector is required and they need about 4-5 hours. Are we allowed to bring external catering services or do you have someone in house?
Please send party packages through email: sofia.marquez@rocketmail.com
