Zachary’s Under The Sea Tsum Tsum Themed Party – 1st Birthday

Our beloved Disney characters couldn’t get much cuter than the Tsum Tsum! Originally, Tsum Tsum is a line of adorable plushies designed to be stacked on top of each other. It ranges from Disney icons to Star Wars and yes, even to the Marvel franchise! Tsum Tsums are so friggin’ cute; it’s no surprise that they’ve made their way into parties as themes. What’s more neat about it is that because of the wide character selection, this theme is great for both boy and girl parties. It can cater to all types of children’s celebrations: birthday, baptism, baby shower…heck, I personally think that it can even be used on parties for grown-ups!

Zachary’s party was in a league of its own, so to speak. Not only was the theme fresh and cute; it was also incorporated into another fascinating theme: Under the Sea! Imagine Mickey, Minnie, Winnie the Pooh and other Disney characters in their adorable baby versions, donning goggles and swimming around the venue. A theme requested by Mommy Charo, a well-deserved pat on the back should go to Sweet Nest Events for another impressive designing and styling. Hues of blue and green were the primary tones of the venue, and a plethora of activities and shows were prepared to ensure that the guests had a wonderful time.

Who would have thought that so much cuteness could fit into one single invite? Zachary did not have just one, but eight adorable Disney cuties all set to have fun! Who could resist such as an invite, right?

What’s better than an underwater tunnel entrance set-up? An underwater tunnel with Disney Tsum Tsum, of course! Guests were welcomed into the party by none other than Ariel, King Triton, Flounder and loads of other characters. Look up above! Other sea friends also came to usher the guests in.

If the guests didn’t get highly impressed by the entrance (which I really doubt), then I’m sure the venue’s ceiling installments did. Swags in baby blue and light green swept overhead, a setting that is simply perfect for an underwater mood. Clusters of clear balloons gave the illusion of bubbles and stacks of flat pompoms added visual impact. Recognize any of the Disney babies floating up there?

Some of the Disney icons closest to our hearts were stationed right at Zachary’s main area, wearing goggles and looking all eager for the happenings. The backdrop looks amazing, perfectly capturing that under the sea feels!

I love the balanced contrast of the table set-up. Tableware was downplayed to the bare essentials, with crispy white linens and solid colored runners. This set-up, however, highlighted the grandiose and flamboyant centerpieces, which featured underwater and sea elements. No centerpiece was alike; every table gets to revel at a unique and whoa-worthy piece of art.

Zachary’s custom-made cake is definitely one for the books! The 3-layered cake featured underwater cuties and more Disney Tsum Tsum, stacked up in a pyramid. I am totally sold on the sea bed details festooning the bottom and top layers, and I also love the scalloped middle layer. It would have been such a feat cutting up this cake!

Scrumptious, adorable, wow: the first 3 words that came to me when I look at Zachary’s desserts station. Sugar fixes can definitely be satisfied by this sweet spread, with all the multitude of cupcakes, cake pops, sugar cookies, jellos and macarons. I won’t be surprised if these decadents found their way not just into tummies, but into online social feeds as well, seeing how they’re as cute as can be!

Guests were entertained by none other than Sir Leodini, the magician who inspired wonder among the kids, and evoked laughter among the adults. There was the hyper-formance dance done by Tectonix, who also amazed everyone with their mad balloon twisting skills.

Guests were treated to loads of activities at Zachary’s party. Feeling like Ariel for a day? Pose and flash those pearly whites in Zachary’s under-the-sea photo area. Feeling lucky? Make a beeline for the game booths and try popping a balloon or catching a fish. Winners get to choose a Tsum Tsum prize!
