Iris and Dean’s Winter Wonderland Themed party – 1st birthday

The weather’s getting warmer as we enter summer so here’s an event that’ll keep you cool. I don’t know about Elsa but the cold didn’t bother me anyway with this birthday party. It’s not Elsa and Anna’s nor Hansel and Gretel’s but Iris and Dean’s first birthday party.

Wonderfully styled by Dianne Khu Designs and exquisitely captured by Little J Photography, here are some of Dianne’s thoughts on Iris and Dean’s party:

“This was my first ever joint-party styling stint, and with a new theme at that. Sisters/Mommies Kristine and Katy of the adorable cousins Iris and Dean, wanted a wow factor to their Winter Wonderland Party, but also wanted to ensure an equal distribution of the feminine and masculine aspects of the design. With that, we injected snowman/woman characters and touches of blue and pink, along with wintery white and silver. The over the top ceiling treatment, lighted letter standees, huge trees, fog machine, scattered snow/snowflakes, dessert spread, and lighted centerpieces made this theme successful.”

As you enter the venue, there’s a big “Iris” and “Dean” letter standees that will welcome you to the party. Powder blue, pink and white are the colours of the night. The snowmen and white trees decorated with Christmas balls added the winter touch.

Winter is coming! I loved the snowflakes and crystal beads that were decorated above the ceiling. The splash of colours added character and fun to the party; making it obvious that it’s a children’s party.

The venue was divided so that the kids were near the stage. It was winter wonderland for these kids indeed!

Despite the warm weather, these table settings made everything look cool and fun for the event.

I know something that is worth melting my heart and mouth for… Sweets! The cakes were laid in a table designed with Christmas lights, and little snowflakes. The cute snowman was the center of attraction, no doubt! The dessert table has a different story; every detail stayed to the original theme. Check out those mason jars each having its own adorable mini cookie house.

Iris and Dean’s memorabilia corner looks stunning, too. I love how guests can have their photos taken here and have an instant winter wonderland themed photo sesh.

It’s showtime! The kiddos were entertained by the host and a guest magician. They participated actively during the program.

  1. It’s true that little baby won’t remember that special day, but first birthday is a once-in-a-lifetime and is a special day we would lke to share with family and friends. We love how you organized this party.

If you keep all guests signature, fingerprint or words of wisdom in a cute guestbook, you can enjoy remember together with your chid when he grows up.
There’s one for each thematic party, just need to find yours.
